Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School welcomes a new principal, Hillary K. Bromberg. An educator for more than a decade, Bromberg comes to the district from Kings Park Central School District, where she served as assistant principal for William T. Rogers Middle School and Fort Salonga and Park View elementary schools.

Her educational career began as an aide in a third-grade inclusion classroom. She later taught English and Academic Intervention Services for English language arts and math in a private middle school in Brooklyn, and taught kindergarten and first grade in the Hicksville School District.

As head of RCK, she replaces Danielle Naccarato, who took over as principal at the district’s Timber Point Elementary School in August, and an interim principal, Dr. John Cassese.

Bromberg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education (pre-K through grade six) from SUNY Oneonta. She also holds a master’s degree in literacy (birth through grade six) from Hunter College and an administrative degree from Stony Brook University. She is working towards her doctorate degree in educational leadership at St. John’s University.

“I have a passion for education and the energy to help the learning environment thrive in an engaging way,” said Bromberg, a resident of East Meadow. “I look forward to working with the community and staff as partners in education to help ensure that the children receive the best possible education in the globally competitive environment of the 21st century.”
