Kozak Art Chosen for LIAC Calendar

The Long Island Arts Council has selected artwork by high school senior Taylor Kozak to be featured in the upcoming year’s LIAC calendar. Kozak, the president of the school’s Photography Club, studied photography with teacher Heather Toomey during her sophomore and junior year, and is currently enrolled in Daniel Figliozzi’s Advanced Placement 2D design class.

“When I first heard about the contest, I immediately let Taylor know about it because I remember her making a beautiful and powerful double exposure print about her brother last year,” said Toomey. “I am so proud that she has been chosen as a featured artist for the LIAC calendar. It is well deserved, as she is a dedicated student and works extremely hard.”

“It was such an honor to be chosen,” said Kozak. “I would like to thank my wonderful teacher, Heather Toomey, and my parents for pushing me to be the best I could be.”
