Timber Point Second-Graders Express Thanks with Play and Bread

Eager second-graders at Timber Point celebrated Thanksgiving week by reenacting the first Thanksgiving in a play, dressed as Pilgrims and Native Americans. They followed up the performance with participation in the Spread the Bread initiative to help those in need this holiday season. The students prepared breads with their family guests, then donated their baking efforts to more than 100 families in need across Long Island.

“We all had a great time, but most importantly, this act of community service enabled the children to be thankful for all that they may have this holiday season when others are less fortunate,” said teacher Carol Wilson.
