Message from Superintendent on Pridewear Purchases

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all our supporters for the mixup on the delivery of your EI Pridewear apparel.

We truly believe consolidating our apparel purchases is best for the district in the long run. I fully anticipated some glitches along the way. I was originally told the store should have been closed several days prior to the closing date to ensure delivery by Sept. 15. In my enthusiasm to get off to a good start, I asked Port Jefferson Sports to keep the store open for several extra days to increase sales. Looking back, I realize my error. Moving forward, we will close the store to give appropriate time for delivery. I will continue to be enthusiastic, but at the same time, I am reminded to listen carefully to my advisers and experts. Once again, please accept my sincere apologies.

I am looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow and at our Homecoming Festival on Saturday wearing your EI colors with pride. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.

Please come out Saturday for a great day at our Homecoming Festival between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with the football game immediately following.
