Standout varsity tennis player Jacqueline Clyne will be volleying for the Tigers at Holy Family University this fall. The member of East Islip High School's Class of 2012 has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at the private college located in Philadelphia, Penn.
"They gave me the best deal," said Clyne, explaining her choice. She was also impressed by Holy Family when visiting the college. "I played with the team there, and they were friendly and welcoming," she said.
The senior's tennis coach at East Islip, Michael Drozd, was proud of how far she had come since she began her tennis career a mere four years ago. "She only started playing as a freshman, and from there she just grew and improved," he said.
Clyne plans to study nursing at Holy Family's School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions.
