Curtis Businski is taking his business education to a new level at the Kelley Business School at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where he is majoring in business and finance.
The 2011 graduate of East Islip High School was accepted into the Kelley Business School’s Living Learning Center for his freshman year. At the Kelley Living Learning Center residence, all student members are affiliated with the Kelley Business School and are required to attend seminars and business meetings in addition to classes throughout the year. The intensive focus has paid off for Businski, who earned a 3.7 grade point average during his first semester in Indiana while taking courses such as economics, accounting, calculus and business presentations.
Businski attributes much of his academic success to the preparation he received in East Islip. "East Islip High School and my involvement with the International Business Globalization Career Academy gave me the foundation to succeed in college,” said Businski. “Hard work – along with having the proper resources, such as the Business Academy – pays off!”
