The East Islip School District received a request from the Suffolk County Department of Health Services (DOH) to alert the school community to a confirmed case of pertussis (whooping cough) at Timber Point Elementary School.

Please read the pertinent letter from Dr. Dennis Russo of the Suffolk DOH, and contact your health care provider should you observe any of the symptoms described.
