The East Islip Middle School English Language Arts Department is excited to announce the continuation of its Summer Reading Program.  In order to encourage positive attitudes toward reading, all students entering grades 6, 7, and 8 in September 2010 are required to read one book from the attached list.  Students must complete ONE of three assessment options to be submitted to their English teachers on Monday, September 13th.

·         OPTION ONE:  RESPONSE LETTER

·         OPTION TWO:  SCRAPBOOK

·         OPTION THREE: BOOK SOUNDTRACK

Parents are asked to encourage and monitor their children’s summer reading. Please be aware that the reading lists and assignment options are also available on the school’s website.
