Heather Toomey’s Digital Imaging and Design 1 class at the high school recently learned how to create mandalas in Adobe Illustrator. As a class project, the students worked together to design black-and-white and color versions. The class then voted on the color versions, and Gabriella Schwalm’s entry was chosen for the cover design.

“It was fun to learn about the tools in Adobe Illustrator to create a reflected design,” student Jack Kelly said.

“I loved coloring in my mandala to create my own color scheme and bring the page to life,” student Brianna Zinkiewicz said.

“I am so impressed with the class with their variety of designs, and I love how each is a unique expression of all of my students,” Toomey said. “I invite everyone to color a page and post it on social media with the hashtag #eifinearts.”
