Girls Soccer Team Recognized with Awards

East Islip High School’s girls soccer team and many of its members were recently recognized for their outstanding season by the state, the county and the Suffolk County Girls Soccer Coach Association, earning numerous awards for the 2021 season.

Kate Alexander was named Division II Class A,B,C Player of the Year, and Nikki Brunner was named Division II Class A,B,C Defensive Player of the Year. Alexander and Brunner both also earned All-State and All-County status.

Jenna Borelli was named Suffolk County Championship Game MVP and Ben Diallo was named Suffolk County Division II Coach of the Year.

Borelli, Krista Deutsch, Mikayla Horton, Dylann Trahey and Julianna Violi earned All-Division status.

Additionally, "Newsday" named Alexander and Brunner as All-Long Island players, and named Diallo as Suffolk Coach of the Year.
