The East Islip High School Chamber Orchestra performed in the Westfield Mall in Bay Shore on Dec. 20. Normally, this ensemble performs every December at Brookwood Hall in East Islip, but since Brookwood has not yet reopened to the public due to COVID, the Islip Arts Council helped arrange this performance for the student-orchestra.
“We were thrilled to be able to bring music to the community again,” said orchestra director Giovanna Ruggiero. “The students did an amazing job and have worked very hard. I am so proud of the work that they put into their performances this year.”
