East Islip High School senior Carson Tessitore signed a national letter of intent on March 28 to play football for Utica University, where he plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in health studies leading to a doctor of physical therapy degree.

Playing center and defensive tackle, Tessitore earned All-State and All-County honors as well as being named Long Island High School Football  Championship Defensive MVP and one of the National Football Foundation’s Golden Eleven. An AP Scholar with Honor and Scholar-Athlete, Tessitore was ranked in the top 10% of his class.
