East Islip High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions club, guided by adviser Bridget Lopiccolo, held its annual “Smashed” press conference on June 7, highlighting the dangers of the 100 Deadliest Day of summer. brought awareness to the 100 Deadliest Days. A morbid array of destroyed cars in front of the school, courtesy of Bang Towing and Gershow Recycling, provided the sobering backdrop to remarks by administrators and “Smashed” partnership members such as Allstate agent Steve Foray and Suffolk County legislator Steven J. Flotteron.
