Superintendent of Schools John V. Dolan, who took charge this past summer, visited the district’s John F. Kennedy Elementary School on Sept. 17, conducting grade-level assemblies to introduce the students to his 10 helpful hints on how to succeed in school and reinforcing his philosophy that “manners matter.”

“We were thrilled to welcome Mr. Dolan to the East Islip community and the JFK family, and the students promised him that they would ‘stay to the right and be polite,’” said Principal Aileen O’Rourke. “Mr. Dolan made a true connection with the students and staff.”
