Hannigan to Play Lacrosse at St. Joe’s

Oustanding senior athlete Jack Hannigan signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse for St. Joseph’s University next fall. He will major in business.

“I liked the coaches a lot, and it seemed like a good fit for me,” said Hannigan regarding the Division I program at St. Joe’s, located in Philadelphia.

Playing on attack on the varsity lacrosse team since eighth grade, and named captain as a senior, Hannigan earned All-League status in 2015 and led the team in points his last two years.

Hannigan also had an acclaimed football career at East Islip, and was a key player on last year’s county champions. On the varsity since he was a freshman, he served as the Redmen’s starting quarterback since sophomore year, and was named All-County in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
