The high school’s Mock Trial team finished the regular season undefeated in the New York State Mock Trial Tournament, achieving a perfect record of four wins against Central Islip, Harborfields, Northport and St. John the Baptist high schools.

This outstanding record earned the team advancement to the first round of the playoffs, which will be held at the U.S. District Court in Central Islip at 2:45 p.m. on March 16. Spectators are welcome.

“We truly appreciate the continued support of the East Islip School District and community in helping our students achieve such success,” said faculty coach Patricia Lester.

Brian C. Mitchell and Kevin Yim serve as attorney coaches for the team, which is composed of seniors Brittney Baker, Kierstin O’Hara, Isabella Pizzuto, and Joseph Teknus; sophomores Angela Loizides, Jessica Muroff and Katrina Shea; and freshmen Steven Gieseler, Madison Lane, Emma McGaugh, Katie Spina, Christian Thomesen and Meghan Walsh.
