Students in the high school’s career development program recently learned how to use tools – including a screw gun and caulking gun – to create a variety of projects with technology teacher Chad Spruyt.

Their most recent project included assembling three-level “bird condominiums.” The bottom level of the birdhouses have hinged floors that allows old nests to be taken out, while the other two levels feature floors that slide out so that the inside can be cleaned out after the birds have left.

“The students had fun building and painting the bird condos, and look forward to watching the birds find new homes,” said teacher Sabina Uettwiller.
