The high school’s Interact Club participated in the Islip Arts Council’s third annual “Deck the Halls” project held on Dec. 1 at Brookwood Hall.
Four holiday trees were purchased in the Interact Club’s name by local East Islip businesses and the Rotary Club, with all proceeds benefiting the Islip Arts Council. Students enjoyed decorating their trees alongside more than 50 other local community groups.

“We were proud to be part of this outdoor tree decorating event because it gave students the opportunity to participate in a fun, meaningful service project that has become a great tradition in the East Islip community,” said Lisa Rapiejko, the Interact Club’s adviser.
