Cooking Club: The Home Economics Cooking Club will be divided inot two groups: sixth-graders and seventh-/eighth-graders. Sixth-graders meet Oct. 13 to cook, and seventh-/eighth-graders meet Oct. 27 to cook. Crafts and sewing take place on weeks alternating cooking. Harvest Dance: The PTA Harvest Dance will be held Friday, Oct. 16 from 2:45-4:15 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and will be sold in lunch periods on Wednesday, Oct. 14; Thursday, Oct. 15; and Friday, Oct. 16. We will be collecting nonperishable food items as well as personal care items and paper products. Any students that donates items will be entered into a gift card raffle.
PTA Reflections Contest: Are you
talented in dance, film, literature, music, photography or visual arts?
Enter the PTA Reflections contest. This year's theme is "Let Your
Imagination Fly." See Mrs. Henderson or any teacher for details. Entries
are due by Nov 20.

World Sight Day Competition: The MS Student Government is sponsoring a competition for World Sight Month. Donate your old eyeglasses and sunglasses or spend a dollar at the local
dollar store to purchase a pair of glasses or sunglasses to help people
with eyesight difficulties worldwide. People in low-income countries
can't afford or don't have necessary eye health care. Help give
someone the gift of clear vision. Glasses will be collected in A-day
homeroom classes from October 5-23. The homeroom that has the largest
percentage of students bringing in glasses will win a breakfast party
and Panera free cookie card. Help us reach our goal of collecting 500 pairs of glasses! Click here for more information.
