Timber Point Artists Recycle!
Many students at Timber Point Elementary School have proven themselves to be experimental in the school’s art studio this year. Some notable young artists have been captivated by the idea of recycling, and look to older materials in the studio not as something to be forgotten, but as an opportunity to create. These students chose to use dry markers in their artwork, in combination with drawing and collage materials, with fantastic results. Some have enjoyed exploring how to attach the materials to paper in different shapes and patterns, while others created pictures and images with their work.
“Everyone did an amazing job,” teacher Amanda Lastella said. “I can’t wait to see what they do next!”
