Kindergarten Registration Instructions

  • Please be advised that registration is a three-part process. First, applications must be completed online. Second, after your application is submitted, you will receive an email advising you of how to submit your required supporting documents. Third, once all of the required documents are received, there will be a telephone conference to finalize the registration process.

    ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE DONE BY AN EAST ISLIP SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENT PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN ONLY.  STUDENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY RECEIVING/PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED FOR CPSE SERVICES ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR KINDERGARTEN AND RE-SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.

    Please be aware that students who will be attending a Non-Public/Private School for Kindergarten are also required to register with the District. 

    If you do not have computer access, please call ahead to schedule an appointment to come to the Administration Building and complete your online application using our on-site computer.

     

    Part One - Online Application Process:

    If you have an existing Parent Portal account (currently have a child/children attending an East Islip Public School in grade K-12):

                  Log into your portal account and click on “Online Registration” in the left menu.

    If you are new to the district or do not have an existing account (first child entering the District as a full-time student): 

                  Please visit East Islip School District Online Registration to begin your online application.

    *Please note: When submitting your online application, please select the appropriate “Registration Year” (24-25).

    We encourage you to please submit your online application by March 15, 2024 so that we can proceed to the next steps as timely as possible.

    IMPORTANT: Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email with further instructions on how you will be able to submit your required documents (Part Two).  

     

    Part Two - Document Submission Process:

    After your application is submitted, you will receive an email (the one used when the application was submitted) along with a separate attachment listing the documents/additional forms you are required to submit and how to submit them. The documents will be submitted electronically either via email or fax. You are also welcome to return the documents by regular U.S. postal mail.  If you are unable to send your documents in any of the methods requested, a special appointment can be made for you to come in person. We are encouraging everyone to send the documents either electronically or by mail. Once all of the required documents are received, we will proceed to Part Three.

    Please be aware that ALL of the documents/forms have to be submitted in order to proceed to Part Three.

     

    Part Three - Telephone Conference:

    Once all of the required documents are received, you will be contacted to have a telephone conference to review the application and finalize the registration. Please be advised that the telephone conference must take place with the parent/legal guardian who is registering the child(ren). This is due to the confidentiality of the child’s information.
