Mr. William Brennen

Hello Middle School Families:

Welcome to the Middle School Webpage and to the 2022-2023 school year. We are excited to have the students returning to school under pre COVID guidelines.

Masks are optional for those students who wish to wear them, and they will be allowed to do so without judgement!

Our goal at the Middle School is to provide our students with an outstanding education in a kind and friendly environment. To that end, all students are expected to always exercise good citizenship. East Islip is a diverse community filled with people from all walks of life. Here at the Middle School, we embrace diversity and appreciate different perspectives and traditions. Therefore, we expect that differences will be accepted by everyone who walks through our doors. We must remember to treat others as we would want to be treated ourselves.

Aside from our academic program, we offer a full complement of athletics, intramurals, and clubs in which our students are encouraged to participate. Children who are involved in the total school program are generally happier and find greater academic success. Therefore, all children are encouraged to take advantage of everything that we offer.

Throughout the school year questions are bound to arise. Most of those questions are related to things happening within the classroom. We encourage our parents to partner with our teachers to ensure the success of the students. Therefore, when questions arise, the first place to find those answers is with the teachers. Please remember that a phone conversation is always best. Emails are convenient, but tone can often be misinterpreted. A quick call to the Main Office and the teacher will return your call at their earliest convenience. If we work together, our children will be successful!

Wishing everyone a great year!

Sincerely,

Bill Brennen
