Five fantastic students from East Islip High School were recently named All-State musicians by the New York State School Music Association, and 14 were selected by the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education for All-County honors.

East Islip enjoyed a splendid homecoming on Sept. 28, ignoring the occasional rain shower to demonstrate outstanding pride and community spirit.

The new, updated virtual enterprise classroom at East Islip High School has proven to be a solid success, taking students in the program to the next level in terms of both physical resources and modeling the real business world.

Connetquot Elementary School students embarked on an exciting and educational walking field trip on Oct. 8 across the street to the new Islip Terrace firehouse on Manhattan Avenue as part of Fire Prevention Month.

Members of the Board of Education were honored for School Board Recognition Week at the East Islip School District’s Oct. 8 board meeting, with each of the district’s schools presenting artwork to signify the Board’s positive impact on the school community.

Second graders at Timber Point Elementary School created Halloween monster faces in STEAM class using recyclable materials.

Nearly 600 students as well as teachers and staff members were in attendance at the annual Trunk or Treat on Oct. 25 hosted by the PTAs of CES and RCK.

East Islip High School hosted its annual college fair on the evening of Oct. 29.

Spooky scenes of graveyards, ghosts and pumpkins decorated the gym at Timber Point Elementary School as students participated in the ever-popular Halloween Fun House.
