East Islip High School’s varsity girls basketball team, coached by Michael Petre, capped off an impressive season with a number of outstanding postseason honors recognizing both athletic excellence and leadership.

East Islip High School’s varsity boys wrestling team capped off an incredible 2026 season with a powerful finish at the New York State Wrestling Championships, held last weekend at MVP Arena in Albany.

Accompanied by teacher Kate Boucher, three East Islip High School students – Principal’s Advisory Committee members Gabriella Gonzalez and Caylee Smith, and ex officio student board member Angel Mai – recently attended the annual Long Island Regional Student Forum at St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue. 

East Islip High School’s French Club hosted its first after-school “Cheese and Chat” event on March 4, featuring a mini lesson on cheese by Nicole Nash, a 4-H Agriculture Program educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County, through a Dairy in the Classroom grant. 

Four East Islip High School students were recently selected for exhibition in the Suffolk County Art Leaders Association’s annual All-County and Senior Scholarship Show, which was displayed this winter at Babylon Old Town Hall.
