East Islip High School junior Cormac Zusmer was named the winner of this year’s Rensselaer Medal as well as the University of Rochester's Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award.

Three East Islip High School students were recently recognized for their outstanding mathematical research and presentation skills at the Long Island Math Fair, held on April 24 at Hofstra University. Competing against talented students from across the region, the trio earned top distinctions for their original work.

Dr. Caitlin Hale was appointed as the East Islip School District’s new director of art and music in February, and began in March.
