Ariannett Robles-Pagan Burgos became the newest alumna of East Islip High School’s Class of 2025 on Aug. 26. She received her diploma from Principal Anthony Montemarano in a memorable summer graduation ceremony in the high school courtyard, with her family, Board of Education President Stephen Ruland, and school and district administrators in attendance.
Montemarano congratulated Robles-Pagan Burgos on her perseverance, saying, “Life is full of obstacles and challenges, and your character and success can be built on how you choose to deal with those challenges. You have exemplified what it takes to overcome. Your presence at this ceremony acknowledges the value you have placed on education, and we stand here today to celebrate your achievement.”
“Today, we celebrate your resilience,” Superintendent Paul Manzo told the new graduate. “The fact that you are here today receiving your diploma is proof of your determination and your commitment to finishing what you started. Graduation is not defined by a date on a calendar, but by hard work and persistence. We are proud of you and we are inspired by you.”
