Third graders at John F. Kennedy Elementary School and Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School eagerly participated in both schools’ annual STEAM pumpkin design contest on Oct. 29, vying for votes with incredibly creative entries. Students and staff used loose change to vote for their favorite gourd entries, with the resulting funds to be used for donation to the Suffolk County Women’s Alliance to End Food Insecurity.

JFK’s winning pumpkins were created by Cameron Acerno, Vincent Cordina and Olivia Mutone. The top entries for RCK were created by Jordan Fox, Vincent Ventura and Robert Vilbig, with Ben Dungey, Hailey Giordano and Emma Hansen as runners up.
