The East Islip High School academic team has once again proven its strength, earning a spot in the Long Island Quiz Bowl championship and finishing 16th overall on Long Island.

Facing off against Long Island’s top-tier academic programs, the junior varsity team demonstrated impressive knowledge, quick thinking and composure under pressure. A fifth-place performance in the regular-season competition rounds secured them a place among the finalists, marking another successful year for the program. 

Competing against some of the most accomplished schools from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, the team rose to the challenge and showcased the depth of its academic skill. 

“Their strong finish highlights both their dedication and continued growth as a competitive force showcasing East Islip pride,” team adviser Lisa Rapiejko said.
