East Islip HS Decision Day Honors Future Plans of Class of 2026

East Islip High School celebrated its annual Decision Day on May 1, honoring the achievements and future plans of the Class of 2026. Students proudly wore shirts, hats and gear representing their next steps – ranging from four-year colleges and community schools to the military and trade programs. The celebration continued in the cafeteria, where the PTA provided a fun photo booth for students to capture memories of this milestone moment. WFTK students created “senior sign off” video shorts for students to be featured in future social media posts.  

“Our students have worked incredibly hard, and today we celebrated the incredible diversity of paths they’re choosing,” Director of Careers and Student Services Dr. Jason Stanton said. “From four-year universities to trade programs, community colleges to military service – every choice represents a meaningful step forward. We are deeply grateful to our school counseling team for supporting our students throughout this journey, and we are thrilled to see our Class of 2026 ready to make their mark on the world.
