East Islip High School honored its 10 highest ranking academic seniors of the Class of 2025 – including two sets of twins – with a breakfast celebration with Superintendent Paul Manzo, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lisa Belz, Principal Mark Bernard, Assistant Principal James Horan, Director of Careers and Student Services Dr. Jason Stanton, and school counselors: Chris Boehler, Jessica Pignataro, Perri Sachs and Jennifer Salvaggio, held in the school’s Forum on May 15.

Valedictorian Ryan Flad (who will attend Ohio State University) and salutatorian Meeghan Mahon (who will attend Dartmouth College) were presented with their sashes for graduation. The remaining eight students are Sameer Ali (Stony Brook University), Danielle Birner (Stony Brook University), Julianna D’Addario (Nazareth University), Georgia Hodge (University of Miami), Jesse Hodge (Stony Brook University), McKayla Mahon (University of Connecticut), Vanessa Rossa (University of Massachusetts Boston) and Drew Walendowski (Villanova University).

“We are very proud of the hard work, dedication and commitment that have earned you this honor,” Bernard told the seniors. “We look forward to hearing about the great things that you will accomplish.”
