East Islip High School held its National Honor Society investiture ceremony on June 5 in the school’s auditorium, recognizing a remarkable total of 64 seniors. The event began and ended with words from co-presidents Annalise Piano and Gabriella Zimmitti, respectively, while during the candle lighting ceremony, Secretary Jennifer Ballou spoke on leadership, Historian Harmony Rocco on service, Treasurer Vanessa Rossa on character and Historian Ashleu McAdam on scholarship. Each honoree was greeted by their chosen mentor, who presented them with their graduation stole.

“It has been such an honor to be the adviser to this group of remarkable members,” adviser Nicole Ingram said. “This was the largest group we have ever invested, and their contribution to our community has been unmatched, with 25 completed projects equating over 2,500 combined hours. I have no doubt they will continue to practice our four Pillars of service, character, leadership and scholarship throughout their lifetimes.”
