Select students from East Islip High School art classes exhibited at the East Islip Public Library’s Bohlsen Gallery for the month of April. The library hosted an opening reception on April 10th for the featured artists.

“I am so honored to have my artwork showcased in the amazing Bohlsen Gallery,” student Tammy Chen said. “It was a wonderful event that showcased everyone’s talents.”

“It was a pleasure to be a part of such a a lovely art show,” student Viki Li said.

“I think this was a really nice event for our community, to see what our students are making at the high school,” teacher Dan Figliozzi said. “The library has such a gorgeous space to show artwork, and they did a beautiful job hanging this show and hosting the reception.”

“What a great night,” teacher Joy Taylor said. “We have such talented and dedicated students, and I am very proud of them all.”

“We appreciate the partnership with the East Islip Public Library in supporting the visual arts and showcasing our students.,” teacher Heather Toomey said. “We have a wonderful group of strong artists and an excellent department with dedicated teachers, and it’s an honor to work with all of them.”
