East Islip welcomed students back for a brand-new year of learning, growth and community in each of the district’s six buildings – East Islip High School, East Islip Middle School, John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School, Connetquot Elementary School and Timber Point Elementary School – on the sunny first day of school on Aug. 4. From prekindergarten youngsters excited to start their educational journey, to seniors ready to prepare for life beyond high school, happy energy filled the halls and classrooms.

“Each September is a fresh start, a chance to set new goals, build strong friendships and create lasting memories,” High School Principal Anthony Montemarano said. “Students, I encourage you to challenge yourselves, support one another and take pride in everything you do. To our staff, thank you for your dedication and partnership. Together, let’s make this an incredible year filled with learning, growth and success.”
