Celebrating National Coffee Month during August at East Islip coffee shop My Town’s Cafe, each hot drink comes wrapped in a creative, custom-made sleeve decorated with original artwork or a positive statement by students from East Islip High School and East Islip Middle School, including members of the high school’s National Art Honor Society, the STARS club, yearbook staff, student government, and art, English and photography classes.

“This was a fun collaboration with our local community for our students,” art teacher Heather Toomey said. “They really enjoyed making original designs that someone will receive when they get a cup of coffee. We are excited to partner with My Town’s Cafe and look forward to future artistic collaborations.”
