Secondary students were honored at two Breakfast of Champions celebrations, held at East Islip Middle School on March 20 and East Islip High School High School on March 28. Eighteen students were recognized at the high school and 30 seventh graders at the middle school, selected by their teachers for exemplifying exceptional character.

Eighteen students were recognized at the high school: Ava Arpen, Olivia Berlin, Navaeha Bond, Angelo Castaldo, Andrew DeMaria, Bailey Drew, Peter Gernand, Juliana Giancaspro, Matthew Gravano, Aubrey Hilbert, Kiersten Klein, Noemi Mendoza, Jose Pineda Saavedra, Michael Pollaro, Parker Redding, James Ritter, Caylee Smith and Matthew Wodicka; each received a certificate and a small gift.

At The middle school, 30 seventh graders were recognized, selected by their teachers for exemplifying the EIMS Pillars of Character: Dedication, Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Positivity and Citizenship.

“Congratulations to the honorees and thank you to the parents and families in attendance,” Principal Anthony Montemarano said.
