East Islip High School teacher Jovina Bratta and her American Sign Language students recently traveled to New York City to see the Radio City Rockettes perform during the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Spectacular. Students observed sign language interpreters in action throughout the show, providing valuable exposure for those interested in pursuing a career in interpreting. The group also enjoyed a visit to the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, taking in the sights of the holiday season in Manhattan.
