EIHS Welcomes 105 New World Language Honor Society Members

East Islip High School’s World Language Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony on April 28, welcoming 105 new members: seven for American Sign Language, 10 for French, 26 for Italian and 62 for Spanish. Six of these exceptional students were dual language inductees. Additionally, 22 students who will graduate as Seal of Biliteracy recipients were recognized.

After a welcome from Katie Paules, speakers included Director of World Languages Christian Seifert and World Language Honor Society co-presidents Keira Sheridan and Nicholas Walsh. Paules and Rita Pinzon guided the students through the candle lighting ceremony, with the oaths led by Alexandra Connolly and Jaclyn Mazer (ASL), Olivia Primiano (French), Sienna Graber (Italian) and Zeynep Oztas (Spanish).
