Students from the East Islip Middle School’s seventh grade Chorus Club and East Islip High School Chamber Orchestra paid a festive visit to the Momentum at South Bay for Rehabilitation and Nursing facility on Dec. 22 to perform a special concert of holiday songs – including “Frosty the Snowman” and “Deck the Halls” – for the toe-tapping enjoyment of the residents.

“Having the students share their talents with the residents made this visit especially meaningful and reinforced the importance of kindness, compassion and community,” East Islip Middle School Principal Tara Scully said.

“We are so happy to share some holiday cheer with our community during this holiday season,” Interim Art and Music Director Mark Bernard said. “The students and staff enjoyed this experience as much as the audience.”
