East Islip Middle School’s eighth grade band, orchestra and chorus recently performed at the Music in the Parks competition held at Dorney Park in Pennsylvania. The ensembles were rated on a scale of Superior, Excellent, Good and Fair, with the chorus and band receiving ratings of Excellent. The orchestra received a rating of Superior and also won first place in their category.

“We are incredibly proud of all the students for their hard work and dedication,” Orchestra Director Katelyn Odierna said.
