Excited students at Connetquot Elementary School gathered in the school’s gym on Jan. 24 for a special “Fire and Ice” assembly presented by Professor Chris of the Long Island STEAM Group’s Mad Science program. As an extension of STEAM activities the students have been discussing in class, the event served both to thrill and inspire future young scientists.

“Our students were treated to a wonderful display of STEAM activities during the assembly,” Principal Nicholas Bilotti said. “Making quarters dance, levitating objects and finally creating a wall of fog that was reminiscent of scenes straight out of Halloween movies, Professor Chris kept our students amazed.”
