East Islip High School’s freshman class took a fishing trip around Captree State Park on May 28. Although the weather was overcast, the students had a great time, caught a few fish and shared an unforgettable experience.
“A day on the boat really helped students and teachers to connect, share some laughs outside the classroom and build team spirit,” said Giuseppe Costa, a Class of 2028 co-adviser alongside Dirk Reineking. “We would love to conduct a class trip each year to further promote friendship and a sense of community among classmates who may not know each other yet.”
