East Islip High School’s chapter of the National Art Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony on June 2. Guided by art teachers and NAHS advisers Daniel Figliozzi and Heather Toomey, new members were welcomed with a candle ceremony and the presentation of society flowers, certificates and senior cords.

“We have both been active members of NAHS for four years, and officers for at least two, and it has been a wonderful place where we can both find amazing community service opportunities to take part in while spending quality time with the other members and developing our friendships along the way,” NAHS Co-President Meeghan Mahon said.

“Congratulations to all of our new members, and thank you to all the parents and families for your continuous support of the East Islip chapter of the National Art Honor Society,” Co-President McKayla Mahon said.
