Fifth graders at John F. Kennedy Elementary School recently got an up-close look at oysters, mussels and clams thanks to a special visit from Cornell Cooperative Extension’s marine experts. The students explored how these amazing shellfish filter water, protect ecosystems and support our local environment for a memorable day of hands-on learning.
