Nine exceptional senior athletes from East Islip High School were recognized on National Signing Day for signing national letters of intent to play Division I and II college athletics. Athletic Director Stephen Restivo welcomed their proud families to a Dec. 9 ceremony in the school’s forum.

Signing to play at college next fall were Ethan Benardos (lacrosse, Sacred Heart  University), Alyssa Charles (lacrosse, Howard University), Brendan Charles (lacrosse, Virginia State University), Dakota Collins (bowling, Niagara University), Cassie Dodenhoff  (field hockey, Adelphi University), Jack Kalinowski (lacrosse, Stony Brook University), Ryan Parker (lacrosse, Rutgers University), Jaden Schmidt  (baseball, University of Albany) and Drew Walendowski (lacrosse, Villanova University).

“Congratulations to these worthy student-athletes and their families for this important accomplishment,” Restivo said.
