On Oct. 27, East Islip High School hosted Senior Pathways to Possibilities, a dynamic, hands-on event designed to empower seniors as they prepare for a future beyond graduation. While underclassmen participated in PSAT testing, seniors gathered in the school auditorium for an engaging morning of workshops, presentations and one-on-one guidance focused on college and career readiness. The event provided students with valuable tools, insights, and resources to help them confidently take their next steps after high school – whether that path leads to college, a career or continued exploration.

The day featured a financial aid presentation from Hofstra University, offering students a detailed look at FAFSA, TAP, scholarships and other funding opportunities. Seniors also participated in breakout sessions with Hofstra University and Suffolk Community College to learn about admissions requirements and available academic programs. School counselors and English teachers were on hand to provide personalized support, assisting students with college applications, essays and supplemental materials.

“This meaningful and inspiring event truly reflects our commitment to ensuring every student leaves East Islip High School prepared for success,” said Director of Careers and Student Services Dr. Jason Stanton. “Our seniors are stepping into an exciting new chapter, and Senior Pathways to Possibilities gives them the confidence, knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions about their futures.”
