The Drama Club at Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School gave two bravura performances of “Annie Kids” on Jan. 14, a morning show for fellow students and an evening performance for proud parents.

The superb cast included Bobbi Davis as Annie, Margo Cotton as Molly, Zoey Nash as Pepper, Hailey Giordano as Duffy, Grace Asquino as July, Gianna Howard as Tessie, Callie Geher as Kate, Madison Lam as Miss Hannigan, Jason Howard as Bundles, Luke Mohan as the Apple Seller, Luna Gotti as Lt. Ward, Jameson Bossert as Rooster Hannigan, McKinley Linneman as Lily St. Regis, Casey Speiss as Grace Farrell, Hunter Craivan as Oliver Warbucks, Aria Garcia as the Star-to-Be, Annalina Capellino as Bert Healy, Nicholas Corbino as Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt and Shaun Cunningham as Louis Howe.

The young actors were guided by teacher Dennis Clancy in his final turn as RCK’s musical director before retiring. As a special heartfelt encore, the cast – joined by Principal Janet Jones and teachers in the crowd – sang a “It’s a Clancy Life” in tribute.

“That was amazing, thank you so much,” Clancy said. “It’s been a great run and my pleasure to work with the kids and everyone.”
