Seventeen East Islip High School senior student athletes recently committed to continue their sports careers at the college level this fall. The students were recognized at a May 20 ceremony hosted by Athletic Director Stephen Restivo in the school’s forum, with their proud families in attendance.
Signing to play were Sophia Aurrecoechea (Nazareth University), Billy Bast (SUNY Oneonta), Brayden Black (SUNY Cortland), Chase Canfora (Connecticut State University), Tyler Cato (Springfield College), Christopher Coleman (SUNY Oswego), Ella Gibbons (Sacred Heart University), Emily Graziano (Farmingdale State University), Ryan Hilbert (SUNY New Paltz), Glendon Kinnear (Lynn University), Anthony Liedke (Flagler College), Kara Marshall (Kean University), Brendan McCaffrey Jr. (Wesleyan University), TessaRose Orgera (SUNY Oneonta), John Talt (Dickinson College), Brianna Tucci (Piedmont University) and Gabriella Zimmitti (Fairfield University).
“We congratulate these outstanding young men and women and their families on achieving this milestone, and wish them the best of luck playing at the next level,” Restivo said.
