Two of Timber Point Elementary School’s young artists were announced as proud winners of the recent Smith Point Mural Contest. Students from kindergarten through college were challenged to design a mural for the tunnels at Smith Point Beach on Fire Island, and drawings by Timber Point kindergartner Sadie Green and first grader Fiona Robles were chosen among the winners. Their artwork will be among 36 designs painted by professional muralists this summer.

“We are so beyond proud of for all of their hard work,” art teacher Amanda Lastella said.
