This Thanksgiving, first graders at East Islip’s Timber Point Elementary School participated in a Spread the Bread initiative in an effort to give back and assist those in need across Long Island. The students baked loaves of holiday bread with their parents, which were then donated to St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Ronkonkoma.

“Our special thanks to our first-grade teachers for organizing this event, and to all of the parents and families who came and assisted during the baking process,” Principal Danielle Naccarato said. “We could not have done this without everyone’s help.”
