Timber Point Elementary School students recently participated in its 22nd annual Math-a-Thon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, collecting pledges from friends and family to complete math problems in a Fun Book provided by the hospital.  This year’s total raised from the Math-a-Thon and other fundraising efforts throughout the school year came to a stunning $22,734, part of a grand total throughout the years of $306,013.62.

“We are so proud of our students, families and staff members for their support,” said Michelle Kilkelly, who coordinates the Math-a-Thon with Carolyn McGee. “We are proud to help the patients and families at St. Jude battle diseases and allow the researchers there to develop cutting-edge treatments that are shared all over the world.”
